The covers are quite firm, edge-worn, a little grubby; spine ends chipped and with tiny tears.Tanned cut edges. The text block is in fairly good condition, pages well thumbed and worn; some underlining in pencil; not tanned but with some marks. Name on title page. Colour and b/w illustrations; two of the colour plates have adhesive stamps attached to facing page. The colours are bright and are charming images of birds. Issued without jacket. Rare.
