Each with a colour illustration from one of his 16 colour picture books. Thirteen of the cards show copyright as Originally c1916. C1974. on the rear, while the others just c1974 (Each 89 by 139 mm). Of the 26 postcards 4 are duplicates. Postcards unused, No handwriting on back of cards. One of the duplicates has a 50mm crease across top corner, E6 has light 15mm crease across top corner, and another, H3 has a few faint crease marks across top corner, otherwise all in clean bright condition. *** The postcards included are from the book titles; Hey Diddle Diddle, (2 cards E! & E2); Bye Baby Bunting, (4 cards, E2, (1), E3, (3) including 2 E3 duplicates; The Milk Maid, 4 cards (E5, E6 (2 incl. Dup.), & F5); Ride a Cock Horse (2 cards F1 & F2; A Farmer Went Trotting, (2 cards F3 & F4); A frog he would a-wooing go, 4 cards (G1, G2, H1 & H2); Come lasses and lads, 4 cards, G3, G4, H3, H4); The Fox jumps over the parsons gate, 4 cards, (G5, G6 (2 incl dup.), & H6. *** First produced c1916 these are a reissue published by Frederick Warne & co., and Hunkydory Designs in 1974. The original early c1916 postcards each had a number, in eight groups of six: A1-A6 through to H1-H6. These cards issued in 1974 by F.Warne were issued without these numbers.
