The high pride and bratty Roman lady, Fabiola, is converted to being humble and kind when she saw how meek, matured and fervent Syra is. She slowly got attracted into this good behavior since then. </br></br>Countless martyrdom stories of real Christian saints such as Saint Agnes, Saint Tarcisius and Saint Sebastian are interpreted into this fanciful book. </br></br>The author wrote Fabiola as his response to the forcibly anti-Christianity novel Hypatia written by Charles Kingsley.
