John Morrocco, formerly a writer with the U.S. News and World Report Book Division, has researched and written extensively on the air war in Vietnam. Author of Thunder From Above, the volume in The Vietnam Experience covering the first half of the air war, Mr. Morrocco is a graduate of Boston College and has an M.A. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Historical Consultants: Vincent H. Demma, a historian with the U.S. Army Center of Military History, is currently working on the center's history of the Vietnam conflict. Lee Ewing, editor of Army Times, served two years in Vietnam as a combat intelligence officer with the U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV) and the 101st Airborne Division. John F.
