Random House 1952 Hardcover Excellent Size: 8x5x1; Vintage Pictorial Cover Hardback Landmark. Book is in Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and clean crisp internal pages. Book appears to be Unread! There is a stamp on the first end page from "The Colonial Press' which states this is "an imperfect or over-stocked book". Since I do not see any issues with this book it appears to be "over-stocked". Book has come from a private collection and is NOT an ex-library book. Outside pictorial covers are very nice. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting. No other writing or markings in the book. Outside cloth covers show some minor soiling and wear to the outside corners and edges. Dust Jacket is in Good Minus condition with some soiling and wear primarily to the back cover with some edge chipping primarily to the outside spine with some small missing pieces from the top and bottom of the outside spine area. Dust Jacket is NOT price clipped ($1.50) and is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Book has come from a private collection.
