Paris: E. Bernard et Cie., Date: 1888-1894. First edition. Octavo. Volumes I-XVII of this famous journal. Lacking only Volume IX. Sixteen volumes including the important first volume. Original front wrappers bound in. All bound in contemporary 1/2 red morocco over marbled boards, gilt spine lettering and decorations, marbled endpapers. Vols. XII to XVII are in very good condition but the covers have fallen off (still present though) all the volumes preceding those (and the first volume is lacking most of the spine). The interiors are all very clean and bright with hundreds of full page illustrations.
