Gustav Edmund Pazaurek (1865-1935) was a Czech-German art historian. In 1906, he became director of the Landes-Gewerbemuseums (State-Crafts Museum) in Stuttgart, and from 1913 to 1932 was appointed Director of the decorative arts department in the same museum. Gustav Pazaurek was a preeminent member of the Deutscher Werkund (German Association of Craftsmen), an association of artists, architects, designers, and industrialists founded in 1907. The Werkbund became an important element in the development of modern architecture and industrial design, particularly in the later creation of the Bauhaus school of design. 1911.
