The interior of the book is clean, showing just a bit of light wear, but the jacket, complete with rips, tears, and paper missing from the spine area, has been encased in plastic and glued to the boards. The damage makes this a reading copy only, but clean and tight enough to be shared with a child. Synopsis: A lovely story about a very special night shared by a father and daughter. "On a midsummer night when the moon is full, hardly anyone wants to go to bed, least of all a little girl who misses her mother. And the little girl's daddy understands just how she feels. he doesn't try to make her stay in bed. Insttead he brings her down to the living room where only one light is on and everything is a new shape and size. Then he takes her for a walk around the garden. Far away a train whistle sounds, the lightining bug glows, and the moon is reflected on the shiny black pond where a family of white ducks are asleep.
