Bound in half leather and green patterned cloth over boards with four raised bands on the spine, label stamped in gilt. Top edge gilt. Gilt ruled covers. Rubbing to the edges and extremities with boards showing through in small areas on the fore-edge and leather scuffed. Corners bumped. Engraved title page is lightly foxed. Dos lisse orné d'une riche composition décorative faite de feuillages, vases... Plats décorés d'un large ornement central fait de rinceaux entrelacés, idem dans les écoinçons. Tranches dorées. Gardes jaunes. Etui rigide de papier marbré bleu et rouge (frottements). Petite déchirure en queue. Coiffes frottées. Frottements au dos. Exemplaire au papier impeccable. Finden fut un célèbre graveur anglais et il a illustré de nombreux livres sous la célébrité de son nom, sur la marine ou des régions du Royaume-Uni, les costumes...
