Each volume has from 726 to 805 pages, an index, and small, b/w figures. Vol. 1 has an index to the pedigrees for all 4 volumes; this index's margins have check marks in ink. The spines have crease lines. Some of the crease lines have caused pages to loosen. The loose pages are tipped back in, and most of them protrude a little on the text block ends. Each vol. has one to four sections of pages that were loosened. With use, more of the pages could easily loosen; return of the set will not be accepted for reason of loose pages.
