Rogers (1921-2008) who was elected to twelve terms serving from January 1955 to January 1979. Rogers specialized in environmental and health-care legislation earning the moniker "Mr. Health" and was commemorated as the namesake of the federal courthouse in West Palm Beach and for the National Institutes of Health's main campus in Bethesda, Maryland.
