About this Item
Very slight scuffing to outer corners of cover, original owner's name on title page, but otherwise a good clean tight copy, with no creasing to the spine, of this soft-cover book. Deals with Peter Munuit, who founded the first permanent European settlement in Delaware in 1638 when working for the Swedish crown, and with his ship the Kalmar Nyckel, which made four voyages across the Atlantic to the new colony, bringing new settlers and supplies. Minuit was drowned in the Caribbean in 1638, and the Kalmar Nyckel was sold in 1651. Originally published in March 1990, this is a second printing from March 2007. 225pp, 16pp b&w illustrations. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 011560
