About the Author: Wanda Bafus was born in Paha, Washington in 1916, and has lived in the Vancouver area since 1932, where she married and raised three children. She was a civilian employee for the Army; retired from the Social Security Administration; retired from the Washington State Department of Social Services; has volunteered at the Barracks for years; and continues to work on numerous writing projects including her memoirs.
