About the Author: DR WILLIAM SHEEHAN is an honours graduate of University College Cork and he has an MA in history from the Open University. From Kanturk in County Cork, he has worked in the Health Services and has recently completed a PhD on the British Army in Ireland during the Irish War of Independence. This book is the final volume in a trilogy that includes British Voices (2005) and Fighting For Dublin (2007). His PhD thesis, A Hard Local War will be published by The Collins Press in 2010.
