About the Author: The Author: Michael V. Tueth is Associate Professor of communication and media studies at Fordham University. He received his doctorate in American Studies from New York University and a master’s degree in divinity from Saint Louis University. Tueth has taught at Regis University in Denver, Georgetown University, Santa Clara University, Loyola University of Chicago, and the University of Maryland. He has published numerous articles and conducted workshops and seminars on comedy and its relationship to social change and religious attitudes.
