There, he will shed a little light upon its dark cloak of mysteries, and help a newfound friend repair the wrongs inflicted upon the world.

Grade 7 Up–A romantic fantasy with a likable teen character. Ryohei is surprised and a bit angry when his father returns from the tavern and informs him that he has accepted a new job as property manager of the mysterious and possibly haunted set of row houses called Tengai-ya. Ryohei sets off the next day, determined to get his father released from the position. When he reaches Tengai-ya, he meets a few of its bizarre residents and stumbles into a hole that contains a boulder pulsating like a heart. It explodes in a flash of light as soon as Ryohei touches it. Revealed is Anju, a young girl who tells him that he is to help her, along with the other residents of Tengai-ya, save the Earth. His friendship with Tsubaki, the daughter of the local tavern owner, also encourages Ryohei; he's hoping that his involvement with saving the world will impress her and their friendship might blossom into more. The story flows smoothly despite its complex plot. The artwork is compact and easy to follow.
