About this title:

Synopsis: Come to know and love the mothers of the latter- day prophets in the pages of Mothers of the Prophets. Your testimony will be strengthened as you see how the Lord sent each of his prophets to a home with a mother to love, nurture, and teach helping to prepare that child to eventually lead the Church in this dispensation. You will be moved by their personal stories and touched by their faith. Originally written by the father- daughter team of Leonard J. Arrington and Susan Arrington Madsen, the third edition of this classic book was updated by daughter and granddaughter Susan Arrington Madsen and Emily Madsen Jones. Expanded to include all the mothers of the latter- day prophets through President Thomas S. Monson, and enhanced with photographs throughout, this book is a compelling reminder of the power of a mother s influence.

About the Author: The daughter of former Church historian Leonard J. Arrington, Susan Arrington Madsen is the author of several books, including the bestselling I Walked to Zion, The Lord Needed a Prophet, and The Second Rescue. She and her husband, Dean, live in Hyde Park, Utah. Emily Madsen Jones is the co- author of the second edition of Mothers of the Prophets. She is the mother of four and resides in Logan, Utah.
