He is also the founder of one of the perspectives which try to understand the rise of the Ottoman tribe and the direction of its expansion. A Mehmet Fuat Koprulu Scholarship Programme has recently been set up to provide funds for Turkish students to undertake PhD study at the University of Cambridge.
