Cambridge, Massachusetts: The MIT Press, Date: 1974. Hardcover. VG- clean content but with some shelf rubbing to covers; art school ex-lib. copy with usual marks.. Tan cloth/oblong boards; silver lettering. Missing dust jacket. xvii + 232 pp. with 99 bw images. This book documents and analyzes Kahn's career, including the unique team practice that he originated. Of the over two thousand factories designed by his firm, all representative prototypal examples are discussed in detail; major nonindustrial works by the firm are also included in order to present a comprehensive picture of Kahn's practice. His work is considered in the context of his ...
