The articles of this volume are contributions to the international symposium Eino Kaila and Logical Empiricism, held in Helsinki, October 4--5, 1990, to celebrate Kaila's centennial anniversary. They discuss the background and the development of the Vienna Circle and Kaila's philosophical work. It is the first collection of essays in English on Eino Kaila's thought.
