The collection Annales in Perspective brought together 41 works (466 pages) in English by foreign and domestic historians, art historians, sociologists, philosophers, theorists, filmologists and urban planners. A common link is the French journal Annales and generations of historians around it and their legacy in a global context. Thus, among the authors there are direct heirs of this tradition, one of the most important in the historiography of the 20th century, but also receptors of various generations. The works are conceived on the one hand as problematic (whether they are individual historians from the so-called school of the Annals or certain dominant themes), and on the other as their own recollections and questioning of the influence of the heritage of the Annals.
