In a time past extra terrestrials visited Earth in six locations. Their arrival and departure was not seen by the local populations, but the residue was. The areas where the visitors landed became home to dangerous phenomena and inexplicable artefacts. One of the main characters describes the visitation as a roadside picnic, whereas you go have a good time to pack up and leave – leaving behind detrius that is of no use or forgotten. The book is set over an eight year period following Red Schuhart, a stalker – somebody who illegally goes into the forbidden zones to pick up artefacts to sell. His last foray into the zone is to help his daughter, who has been affected by the zone and is slowly losing her humanity.  Creasing to the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels.
