ISBN10: 0553051253, ISBN13: 9780553051254, [publisher: Bantam Spectra, Bantam Books, New York] Hardcover First Edition This book was flat signed and dated (no inscriptions) on the title page by both Gregory Benford and David Brin on 6/18/2004 at the grand opening of Seattle's Science Fiction Hall of Fame (now a gallery in the re-named Museum of Popular Culture, or "MoPOP".) Included is the entry ticket for the event (itself a collectible piece of ephemera.) This is a first edition, 1st printing: "A Bantam Spectra Book / March 1986" and full printing line ending in "1" on its copyright page. The book is in near fine condition, marred only by some very light wear on the black cloth spine. The binding is tight and square, with no reading crease in the spine. The boards are sharp-cornered and unmarked, with bright silver titles on the spine. Other than the author signatures, the pages are unmarked. Not a remainder. The dust jacket is only in very good condition. It is unfaded and unmarked, but has wear at head, heel and edges, with a edge chip on the back bottom edge, and a tape repair on the front top edge. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description. Note: shipment outside the USA will require additional postage for this heavy (nearly 2 pound) book.
