The courts ruled that was illegal so she was fired by the Board of Regents for using inflammatory language. In 1970 guns found belonging to Davis were used in an armed takeover of a courtroom in Marin County, CA. Four people were killed and Davis was prosecuted and jailed for over a year before being acquitted of all charges in 1972.
