LAID-IN is a one page flyer promoting the author's appearance at a Toronto first-run bookstore during the book tour. Charcoal gray paper boards with black paper binding, silver titles and white endpapers. A pleasing copy of a book scarcely signed. The autograph has bled through to the reverse side of the title page but no further. The spine ends have softened, and the bottom corner of the back board is rubbed (not bumped). A few scattered, unobtrusive dings to the edges of the boards and a faint, stray pen mark to the top exposed page edges. A small notch of paper is missing from the top edge of pg. 212, next to the gutter. There is a series of short, shallow marks in the surface of the front board, but this is unobtrusive; and there are no corresponding marks to the jacket. The jacket is price intact and unaffected by the sun. There is a short crease in the top edge of the front panel of the jacket, at the spine.
