Though an imperfect copy with a poor dust wrapper, this is a first edition, first printing (copyright date of verso of title page, with no mention of subsequent printing) of this book. The boards are square, with a crease to the upper fore-corner of the rear panel but only minor wear to the remaining corners, light wear and sunning to front and rear panels as well as to spine, and a little soiling to rear panel. Age-spotting to top- and fore-edges of textblock are the most serious defects to the book. Contents are clean. The dust wrapper, sunned and worn, is preserved in three pieces laid in at rear.
