New York: St. Martin's Press, Date: 1980. Presumed First Edition, First printing. Hardcover. Good/Good. 22 cm, 218 pages, illustrations, black mark on bottom edge, DJ somewhat worn and soiled, DJ flap creased. Max Lerner (1902-1992) was a Russian-born American journalist and educator known for his controversial syndicated column. Maxwell Alan Lerner was born on December 20, 1902 in Minsk. His Russian Jewish family emigrated to the U.S. in 1907. Lerner earned a B.A. from Yale University in 1923.
