Inside text is in Excellent condition and appears to be unread! The only marking in the book is a stamp from "The Colonial Press" stating that this is an "imperfect or over-stocked book". It appears to be "over-stocked" as I checked each page and the book appears to be Unread. No other markings or writing in the book. Outside pictorial covers are very nice with some minor corner wear and a very small tear at the top of the outside spine. No Dust Jacket, as this is the pictorial cover. Random House 1957 Hardcover Very Good Plus in Very Good Minus jacket Cloth Cover Hardback Book with Dust Jacket is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text appears to be Unread. No writing or markings inside the book. There is some minor soiling to some outside page edges (shelf wear) but this has little to no effect on the inside pages. Outside cloth covers are nice. Dust Jacket is in Very Good Minus condition with some small creasing and edge chipping. Most of the edge chipping is to the outside spine with some small missing pieces from the top and bottom of the outside spine. There is a scuffed spot to the back cover, which is near the bottom right hand corner area where is appears a price sticker was removed. Dust Jacket is NOT price clipped (195/195) and is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Book has come from a private collection. [publisher: Random House] Hardcover This fourth printing Fine quality Landmark book was published by Random House in 1957. The book is square, very clean, free of edge dings and corner bumps; there is no fading or soiling. The spine ends are not bumped and the bottom edge has no wear; the hinges are strong. Plus it has 12 pages of photographs and illustrations. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any type and paper damage of any sort. The paper, including the end pages, is slightly toned but is very flexible. The book looks almost pristine. The VG quality jacket has no fading and is very clean; it does have tiny chips at the front corners and at the head and heel of the spine. There is also a 1" tear at the the top of the font panel and a shorter one at the top of the rear panel (see photo). The jacket is otherwise intact and is not price-clipped. Book lists to Landmark #85 and jacket lists to #78.
