DJ has slight wear and soiling and has some sticker residue. Some corners creased. Mr. Wyden was born in Berlin in 1923. He came to New York City when he was 13 and attended the City College of New York. His journalism career took him from The Wichita Eagle of Kansas to Newsweek to Ladies' Home Journal. He wrote more than a dozen books, one of which, ''Bay of Pigs: The Untold Story, '' won an Overseas Press Club Award. His other books ranged from the story of a Holocaust survivor to a peek inside the Masters and Johnson sex clinic, the latter written with his second wife, Barbara. Mr. Wyden's most recent book chronicled his son Jeff's battle against mental illness. The book, ''Conquering Schizophrenia: A Father, His Son and a Medical Breakthrough, '' was published by Alfred A. Knopf. Derived from a Kirkus review: In his Bay of Pigs Wyden packed a lot of significant color into a straight narrative recreation. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They're very clean. There is very little wear. There's a small space between the top edge of the spine and the textbook. The silver lettering on the spine is very bright. The edges and corners are in solid shape. The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are in excellent condition, exceptionally clean. I have scrolled through them several times without finding any instances of soiling. There are 32 pages of black-and-white photographs. They all appear to be in perfect condition. I'm not finding any instances of creasing on the pages. There are no markings. No attachments. And the author's signature is the only writing to be found anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It's very clean. There are no tears. There's a bit of crinkling at both spine ends, and two small creases off the front top edge.
