A Very Good copy with decorative cloth covers with gilt decoration. The steel engraved plates are nicely engraved and are clean except for some light staining t edges not affecting the image. Contains black and white illustrated plates, protected by tissue guards. The book has been dedicated to Jane Richardson and signed by J Wigham to front endpaper, reading 'Jane Richardson, from her affectionate cousin, J Wigham', dated 12th Month 9th 1835. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Binding remains firm. Ownership plate to front endpaper. Occasional thumb-marking. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Small splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Faint white marks to rear board.
