James 1966: xiv). Even the most thorough reanalysis, however, cannot make up for equivocal and unrecorded data. Uncertainty still exists about the makeup of some floors, walls, and other features (whether of stone, mudbrick, plaster, or hard-packed clay); the orientation and dimensions of some loci (see pp. 48-53, 62-67); and the levels of some walls, floors, thresholds, and other features..."
