Each volume has the bookplate of Anthony Edwards, Life Fellow of Gonville & Caius College and retired Professor of Biometry at the University of Cambridge. These books were part of his collection of Cambridge books which was a reflection of his keen and active interest in the governance of the Collegiate University. Volume I (1988) has a few tiny nicks to the edges of the jacket but is otherwise clean and unmarked. Volume II has a little browning to the page edges and the jacket has a small scratch to the front panel and a small brown mark near the base of the spine. It has also been signed and dated in the year of publication (2004) with a dedication to Anthony Edwards by Christopher Brooke who wrote a contribution for this volume as well as being the general editor for the whole series. Volume III (19970 has a little dark marking to the bottom corners of the page edges and the jacket has thin two inch long dark mark running up from the bottom edge of the front panel.
