ISBN10: 0062415832, ISBN13: 9780062415837, [publisher: HarperCollins Publishers Inc, New York] Hardcover Hardcover. Irin Carmon: I heard you can do 20 pushups.Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Yes, but we do ten at a time. And then I breathe for a bit and do the second set.Nearly a half-century into being a feminist and legal pioneer, something funny happened to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg: the octogenarian won the internet. Across America, people who werent even born when Ginsburg made her name are tattooing themselves with her face, setting her famously searing dissents to music, and making viral videos in tribute. In a class of its own, and much to Ginsburgs own amusement, is the Notorious RBG Tumblr, which juxtaposes the diminutive but fierce Jewish grandmother with the 350-pound rapper featuring original artwork submitted from around the world.Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg offers a visually rich, intimate, unprecedented look at the Justice and how she changed the world. From Ginsburgs refusal to let the slammed doors of sexism stop her to her innovative legal work, from her before-its-time feminist marriage to her perch on the nations highest courtwith the fierce dissents to matchget to know RBG as never before. As the country struggles with the unfinished business of gender equality and civil rights, Ginsburg stands as a testament to how far we can come with a little chutzpah. Harper Collins Publishers,New York (Date: 2015), 2015. Harper Collins Publishers,New York (2015). White paper over boards, red paper spine. Picture of RBG on front cover, black and gold lettering. Near Mint/NODJ. Celebration of the life of the great Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg The RBG in the title is, of course, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the first women lawyers in the US, and later Supreme Court judge. She was an amazing woman who brought about a lot of good for women, but I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't really a biography as much as a look at her work and career, and the changes she brought to US law. There were bits and pieces of her personal life, but not a lot. I listened to the audio and it was not interesting to listen to various laws being read. It was pretty short - it felt like it was abridged but it wasn't. This was published in 2015, before her death... and also before Trump made it into office. For me, this was simply "ok". (google). Harper Collins Publishers,New York . Stated First Edition, 2015. Near Mint, solid, clean and bright. White paper over boards, red paper spine. Picture of RBG on front cover, black and gold lettering. Great Illustrations and pictures throughout the book. 2015. Harper Collins Publishers,New York (2015) ISBN 0062415832 9780062415837 [US]
